Outdoor Cushion Upholstery in West Palm Beach
Seat and back cushions for patio benches and outdoor seating, sized to the frame you already have and sewn in outdoor fabric at our Greenacres studio.

Cushions made for the frame you already own
Patio furniture in South Florida usually outlasts its cushions: the frame is fine, but the covers fade, the seams open and the foam goes flat. We make new seat and back cushions for benches, dining chairs, lounge chairs, chaises and sectionals so they fit the frame properly instead of sliding around a store-bought size. We also re-cover existing outdoor cushions when the foam is still good, and replace the foam when it is not.
How we measure and build them
Send photos of the furniture and the measurements of each seat and back, or bring a frame or an old cushion to the studio showroom in Greenacres so we can measure it. We pattern each cushion to its frame, cut the foam to size and thickness, and sew the cover with the seams and piping planned so a patterned fabric lines up across the set. Ties and closures are added where the frame needs them so the cushions stay put.
Outdoor fabric and foam
Tell us where the furniture sits: full sun by a pool, a covered lanai, or a balcony that gets rain. That decides the fabric we suggest. Outdoor fabrics resist fading and moisture far better than indoor upholstery, and we talk through the trade-offs between look, feel and upkeep before you choose. We can see samples with you in person at the studio. For the inside, we use foam suited to outdoor seating, and we tell you what each option includes in your quote.
Repair, re-cover or replace?
If the foam still springs back and only the cover has failed, a new cover is often all you need. If the foam is flat, crumbling or stays wet, we replace it. If the frame itself is rusted or broken, new cushions will not fix the seat, and we will tell you so when we see the photos. A written quote spells out which of these we recommend and why.
Examples from our studio
The green tropical-print bench cushions at the top of this page were made for a white patio bench, with seat and back cushions cut to its width. Custom pillows and indoor cushion sets are shown on our custom upholstery page, and boat cushions, which face the same sun and salt, are on the marine page.
What affects the cost and timing
- Number of cushions and the measurements of each frame
- Outdoor fabric choice, amount needed and pattern matching
- Foam type and thickness, and whether existing foam can be reused
- Ties, zippers, piping or other details
- Pickup or delivery, when the project needs it
Common questions about outdoor cushions
Do I need to bring the furniture in?
Usually not. Photos and measurements of each seat and back are enough for most patio sets. For an unusual shape, bringing one frame or an old cushion to the studio helps us get the fit right.
Can you match cushions I already have?
Send a photo of the existing cushion and we will suggest the closest fabric we can offer. An exact match depends on what is still available.
How do I care for them?
Brush off debris, rinse with fresh water, let them dry fully, and store them during storms when you can. Ask us about care for the fabric you choose.
Do you make boat cushions too?
Yes. Boat and yacht cushions are covered on our marine upholstery page.
How to request an outdoor cushion quote
